Several months ago, I had the opportunity to speak in front of the Fulton County School Board and Superintendent Looney.

Along with so many well informed and engaged parents, I was speaking in opposition to the closure of Spalding Elementary School. Ultimately the school board failed us and voted to close one of the last remaining neighborhood schools. Throughout the entire re-districting process, I was so impressed by the engagement of our entire community – because it was a whole community issue. As I stood in line, waiting to address the board, I felt so proud to be a part of this community and of Sandy Springs. At that moment I confirmed something I had know for a long time – I want to do more! Inspired by that night, I am excited to officially announce my candidacy for Sandy Springs City Council District 5. I am motivated to serve as an energized and committed representative ready to prioritize communication to not only listen to our district but to make sure our district is heard. Sandy Springs is a special place with an exciting future and with your help, I will work to strengthen the amazing community we have all created.
